Skype and Mystery Skype - connecting classrooms all over the world, playing a mystery game.
For two years my students have been playing Mystery Skype with classes all over the world, however, since it's so hard to match schedules with these schools, this year I will be applying the fake Mystery Skype, that is:
1. Two classes will be connecting. Each class will choose a Hispanic country to pretend they are in there.
Each class will try to learn some basic features of their chosen country, then we will play Mystery Skype (20 questions) and students will try to figure out where each class is.
Also, through Skype I had partnered with other schools and even played competitions against each other.

i-Earn - partner with other schools to work on a variety of projects.
This year, 2015, I have used i-Earn to connect my 1st and 2nd graders through Holiday Cards Exchanges and my MS students on a project called "Alternate Reality" where my students posted students from Argentina in our school and the students from Argentina posted our students visiting their school.

Even though this site is designed mostly for high-school and college students, some lessons and videos can be used with MS students and ideas can be adapted to ES students. I would love to plan an idea for a diplomacy simulation.
