Nearly one out of every three of us lives in poverty. But we see a future in which no one does. The way we see it, poverty is solvable— A problem rooted in injustice… We won't stand by silently and watch others suffer. Instead, we stand together against injustice. We recognize our responsibility to hold the powerful accountable… It’s wrong. And together we aim to do what’s right. Oxfam America. Right the wrong. (Food)- By cooking recipes from all over the world and especially from countries in conflicts, this part of the world becomes real to children and they realize that each country has its own stories, conflicts and recipes and they can connect with their people and reality in a more personal way. I intend to use recipes from Hispanic countries for special days such as “Peace Day” and “Multicultural-Diversity Day.” where my students will not only bring different recipes but also some photos and information about their chosen country.
